The a/c will effect the window defroster. I lived without it for a few months and it was hell.
this is my biggest worry, i drive at night a lot and the window has some fog sometimes.... did you put it back in? not worth the weight savings in your opinion?

Unless you are a true track car, deleting the a/c for weight savings isn't the brightest idea.

I relocated my lines, cleaned up the bay ALOT, and still retains my factory a/c

win/win imo.

I'll see what I can round up.

I purchased the a/c relocation lines from a member here.

I routed them inside the hole on the pass side fender, and out the hole near the headlight on the pass side fender. Secured them inside the fender and what not.

Have you driven through this town lately?.... Its a freaking DUST BOWL here..... kinda like humidity up in the pacific northwest. We have dust that just floats in the air like humidity.

Call your local snap-on representative. He can assist you in special ordering this part.

Oh really, well in that case im going to re-install the a/c (sarcasm)

The goal is to get everything that is not "NEEDED" out. Everyones definition of "whats needed" will be different.

Who knows... I may get tired of sweating to death.... hahah... but for now I'll roll the dice and try something new. FYI, the compressor was removed to accommodate another rotrex supercharger.

Anyhow... the lines are removed, but everything under the dash has not been altered. That is my question.

ask yourself what the car is gonna be used for. if your honestly not gonna drive the car in rain, then defogger/ac is not super important. if you hate the heat, and are gona drive on nice days and warm days, will you be unhappy if you cant turn the ac on?

i didnt have ac for 9 months. for me it sucked. i dont drive the car in teh rain, but i got caught in the rain a few times, and it pissed me off. it gets hot and humid here in South florida, and i wanted to kick on teh ac, and again couldnt and got pissed.

just ask your self if your ok with it, and then do it. i am not a fan of removing ac in this car. you gain little in weight savings, and lose someting way more important to me.

track car, yeah dont need ac. street car, its def nice to have

as for remoiving it, pry that plasitc peice off, then unscrew the lines and pull off. easy peasy.
