Default Calling All ID2000cc Users!

Well im getting ready to have my new turbo setup made by a local company here called BoostFlow. It will be a sidewinder style manifold and twinscroll, to go along with my new Borg Warner 88-75 turbocharger!

I currently am running this setup:

-8 feed line
-6 return
-1.18 gallon fuel surge tank
-InlinePro fuel rail
-bosch 044 fuel pump w/ oem pump acting as a lifter pump to fill the surge
-fuelab fuel pressure reg (60-90psi)
-fuelab filter
-ID1000cc injectors
-43psi base fuel pressure

Im looking to make around 725whp total on race fuel (or E85), but with everyones latest E85 numbers, im kinda leaning towards being able to run Ethanol, but my current setup wont allow it. Ive been told my current setup should support 650-700whp on gasoline (most likely having to raise fuel pressure) but 450-525ish on E85 depending on the dyno.

So it brings me to this question, for all of you ID2000 guys, how do you like them? This car is my DD (driving in the 450-500whp range), so i need good drivability and idle. Are you happy with your purchase?

Also, for you guys on E85, how do you like it? is it worth the extra money into the fuel setup to be able to run this fuel?

post your fuel setups and power numbers please!

I love mine. It was a big initial investment buying the twin pump hanger from Full Blown and the ID2000 injectors, but I feel it was completely worth it. I don't think I'll even get close to maxing out this setup. I would recommend doing this setup if you want big numbers and E85/E98.

Initially setting up the injectors took a little bit for me as a setting in the AEM software needed to be changed to allow more resolution so you can fine tune the idle better. The Microsec/bit value should be changed from 75 to I think I changed mine to 25 or 30. With the Microsec/bit value at 75, 1 + or - at idle went from idling in the 10 AFR range to surging and lean. With the Microsec/bit value at the corrected value, it idles in the 14 AFR range just fine. Cold starts were difficult when the temperature dropped to 20-30 degrees Fahrenheit here, but I researched on an Evo forum, made changes to my start settings, and it starts up like its hot out. E85 doesn't like to cold start with as much fuel as regular gas requires otherwise you'll be cranking for a while.

When I first had them, the first few hundred miles, it'd studder just a little bit on decel, but went away. Don't know if that was tune related in 100+ degree temps or what.

Setup: Full Blown dual pump hanger with 2 GSS342 Walbro pumps, 10AN leader line to a 8AN hardline to an InlinePro fuel rail to a Aeromotive FPR, and back to the tank with a 8AN line. ID2000 injectors. Made 579 and 549 on a more conservative tune on E85.

Anyone have problems with the full blown hanger leaking gas by the wire once the fuel pressure bulids up? How do you fix that problem?

I love the Injector Dynamics 2200cc fuel injectors. I started using them when they first came out on a customer's Supra. Then a customer's Civic. And it went on from there. They're rock solid. You would never know they were 2200cc fuel injectors. I even purchased a set for my personal S2000. Plans are the same as your's.

Run the car on gasoline and ethanol. E85 is definately worth the extra money into the fuel setup. We were one of the first shops to crack 900whp on 2J application on E85 years ago. And go over 200mph in the standing mile. Every car runs cooler, smoother and makes reliable power. Not to mention it brings spool down by 500rpm - 800rpm. Below is a quote from a customer of our's from another board that recently switched to E85.

I was limited with my injectors and being it's a stock bottom end I don't want to push it any further.

I love mine, made 720whp on E85 Mase's kit 6262BB Precision and tuned himself. Drove mine almost every weekend, ID2000cc actually idles and drives smoother on E85 then mine ID1000cc when i was on Q16.

Set-up: Full Blown dual pump hanger with 2 GSS342 Walbro pumps, -8AN leader line to a -8AN hardline to an InlinePro fuel rail to a Fuellab FPR, and back to the tank with a -8AN line. ID2000 injectors. Made 720/502 @32psi tune on E85.

With this awesome chart posted by T1, im thinking i could increase my base fuel pressure to about 70psi and should support approx 500 on E85 (for daily driving) and 700ish on Q16 (bragging rights and track usage) with my current setup.

I was going to go this route, but I don't have access to e85 here

If you were sticking with 93/race, I'd say keep your 1000's, but if you are running ethanol, then you don't have to many options.

Is anyone running twin 044's? If so, what is the setup? I am looking into changing some things for next season as our current setup is maxed. Twin 044's seem to be the only way to accomodate big numbers(700+).

I can easily add another 044 to my setup, i would build a slightly wider surge tank to fit both pumps side-by-side and "Y" them into each other, but thats another $400ish dollars to do it...

my current setup
