Default can AEM adjust for change in temperatures?

as the title says, can it adjust? Like lets say you tuned it for the summer temps (90 deg), but then during winter the temps drop to 40's or 50's (or vice versa)... will that tune run fine, or should it be modified a bit? I would think you can advance more timing with the colder temps, but need to increase teh fuel? Would AEM adjust for these changes? Or am I over thinking this ? Was always curious but just wanted to know.

Of course you could fine tune it to extract a little more power in the opposite season that the car was tuned, however, simple speaking, yes it will adjust itself to compensate for change in temperature.

the AEM uses barometric pressure, IAT's among other things to work out what part of the fuel and ignition map to be on. There usually is fine tuning to be done seasonally to make the car run optimally, but i have had my car run well in different seasons! If you run closed loop with the wideband, you can cut down on a lot of season changes that may effect your tune! I am angry at myself for not getting a UEGO when i had the chance...

I thought they only thing that would adjust was the a/f when you plug in a uego sensors and it would adjust the fuel mixture to make it what you want based on uego inputs.

Also does it automatically adjust itself or does the tuner need to program it to adjust itself?

The AEM has the capacity to do all of the above, but each parameter has to be set manually. So, for example, if you want it to pull some timing in hotter temps you need to bring up the map and set the range/amount of adjustment.

yes, the UEGO runs the air fuel ratio. but you can set the wideband to run a certain A/F +/- 10%, so if you wanted partial throttle, to be at 14.5, the wideband would add or subtract the fueling for you. This would go on even when the temps outside fluctuated etc.. You can also have the UEGO run closed loop WOT etc... depending on what you feel like doing, or just have it run off a predescribed table
