or do i buy this?

this is a wideband kit with out the gauge but this is only $20 less than a uego kit with a gauge.

my bad I was assuming you had the uego capable AEM EMS,
you need the uego wideband kit , or any wideband sensor & gauge (plx, ngk etc), it can be wired into your EMS. Im not sure of the specifics, mine has it built in.

did your aem ems come with the wideband sensor? if not, then you need the sensor, then wire it in, then calibrate it in the software, then setup the serial gauge to view it, then it will work.

short answer, yes it can work.

which ems do you have?

if the part number does not end in a U then you will need one of the many uego kits they sell.

they sell 2 different gauge types and one non gauge type, they all run ~$180

If you do not already have a serial gauge and want to just measure afr, then just get the aem wideband gauge

My aem is a 1052u with the built in uego wideband.

Can I buy a sideband gauge and wire it into my ems? I don't want a serial gauge because they are hard to set up

Yes, you can run any wide band with any aem ems.

All 3rd party wide bands come with a controller. Thos controller turns small voltage from the o2 sensor itself into a signal the ems can understand.
The 1050u has a built in controller for the aem specific wideband, but any 3rd party wideband (with controller) will work.

Third party gauges get their info to display from the controller (circuit), not the ems.

I run both the serial gauge and the inovate wideband brand gauge
