Default Can Hondabond hurt your engine?

Pretty much exactly what the title says.

I dropped my oil pan to tap it for the return line for my inlinePRO kit and when I cleaned it up and re-installed it with hondabond, once all the bolts were tightened down the hondabond squeezed out the sides. I used the hondabond pretty liberally along the edge of the oil pan.

I am just curious as to if the hardened pieces of hondabond will make their way through my engine I imagine that they would since they are not heavy and probably float somewhat in the oil, and if they do would it cause engine trouble.

No problemo, Honda did the same thing when they assembled the engine (hondabond squeezed out all over the place.)

What if, in the unlikely event, that the bypass valve lets it through?

I wouldn't think...it would burn up in the motor...and I would doubt it would be to fine to squeeze between a bearing.

I wouldn't worry w/it.

It will just get sucked up to your oil pick up screen and block the oil, starving your engine of lubrication. But no worries
