I've recently intalled my Greddy turbo kit, with a berk test pipe and an HKS exhaust. Now, I know it is one of the most restrictive exhausts you can slap on an s2000, but, there are none that can match it in sound, so, it's going to stay.

My tuner (Giles) states that the optimum sweet spot of the turbo is 8-9psi. My question would be, would I be able to run 9psi, or will the car not be able to flow that through that exhaust?

(I know I am not getting all the power I can, i don't mind).

 

Not a problem...I am flowing more than that. The stock exhaust is good to 400whp and we're not close to that.

 

If anything, you would want a semi-restrictive exhaust to help keep some back pressure for the internal wastegate (less boost creep).

HEY SPECOPS....so what do you recommend for a 50 trim ball bearing t3/t4 at 9 psi with External wastegate? because i have the 60 mm resonated TP and the HKS. I just ordered the 70mm tp with 70 V4 Invidia Dual. Do you think ill notice a difference?

 

The invidia is the most high flowing dual on the market so you should gain some extra ponies (plus it sounds awesome with a turbo). The BEST exhaust for a TC setup, however, is a straight 3" single which will yield the best results.

 

Cool thanks! i figured it would do me well going to a full 70mm set up. I would go for the single 3 inch but man.. the noise would be loud!!

But i definately hope i would feel some gains from it. its gonna be here at the end of the week so then it would be TIME TO PLAY!!

 

The invidia is not that much quieter then a 3" single
