Default Can I remove the heatshield on my Greddy kit?

My Greddy kit works great so far, but the heatshield rattles when the car warms up. It's driving me nuts. I've dremeled around the parts that touch but no-go. Since it's winter here, is it safe to remove?

mine slightly rattles too, but I think I've just tuned it out at this point b/c I don't even notice it unless I am thinking about it. Heat is the enemy with a turbo, but you're not going to hurt or destroy anything by removing the heatshield, especially in the winter. Honestly, I wonder how effective it even is.

Can you put rubber spacers between the metal shield and bolt?

Thanks guys. I'll try removing it. I put felt around it but it didn't help.
