can the comptech/vortech superchargers be turned so that the outlet faces downward. this would be used to say use a air to air front mount versus the water/air aftercoolers. i am just wondering if anyone has any experiences. i did search and read through first 10 pages of so of forum... no luck on anything

 

On a Vortech, you can change the clocking of the SC, but you wont get the discharge pointing down. Both SC units sit over the beam that crosses the engine compartment.

The Comptech Novi 1000 SC can also be clocked, but I'm not sure if it will clear the beam either.

 

There are a couple of people that have done this. You would need to run more boost to compensate for the air resistance.

Same with Comptech/Paxton. It can't point down because of the crossmember.
