Default !car not starting!

my car with inlinepro turbo ran perfectly fine two days ago. after hardwiring my radar detector it's giving me problems. here's what happened today:

the red wire from the aem ems is connected to the 'ignition' slot under the fuse panel and i needed that spot for the radar detector...so i used a t-tap on the aem ems red wire and tried starting up the car. my detector works. great. so t-tap worked.

but at first- car started, boggles, the entire car shakes, i gave it some gas to see if it'll pick up idle rpm but it shoots black smoke out the back. noticed the red light on the warning gauge indicating 'warning'. the red light flashes and stays on constant. http://www.greddy.com/products/display/?Ca...&SubCategory=57 (i have the blk gauge shown). i turned the little knob on the warning gauge (don't even know what it does ) and it turned itself back to '0' with the warning light still on. played around with the VAFC (again...not knowing wth this is set to) and the car doesn't even start anymore. i think i've messed around with the settings, but i don't know how to set it back.

i bought the car turbo'd...and this is my first approach at trying to learn what i should and should not (or should not have done ). im rdy to take flames, but really looking for some tips on how to get this thing running again...i've only had the car for a week and have only driven 20 miles! today was a beautiful day to enjoy top down too

i reversed the install as soon as the first bogging-start hoping that somehow the t-tap is causing some sort of an interference.

I'm guessing when you tampered with the wires you lost a connection somewhere.

I'd start by double checking all your connections..

so no connection to an ems would cause the car not to start? the first time i hardwired the detector, it gave 'E' or some funky symbol at it's first turn on. it worked the second time and on, but i was thinking maybe the detector programming (?) interfered with the ems...i'll re-check the wirings to make sure nothing is loose or fried.

any other thoughts? or possible causes of why the car wouldn't even start now?

Honestly the VAFC isn't enough to run a turbo setup properly. I would consider an emanage blue a minimum for such a kit. I'll be out of work fairly early tomorrow afternoon 5-6pm I will call you around then.

1. There is no need to have a VAFC on the car when you have an AEM

2. Make sure that you didnt blow that fuse that you 't-tapped' into

the turbo is tuned with the AEM EMS. vafc is just there like a gauge. where is the fuse for the ignition slot?
