Default car overheating

i just got my kit installed the other week and i noticed my temp gauge is real glitchy it will show the temp rising when the key is in contact and the car hasnt been started in over 8 hours also the car will warm up then drop down to 2 or 3 bar and i also noticed that it stays around 8-10 bars. I have an ap2 and i am running aem series 2. ive check and added some coolant and that didnt help at all.

Was your radiator drained or removed during the install? Or any coolant hoses disconnected? You might have a small air pocket in the cooling system, I would try to bleed it.

8 bars is normal for an AP2. I have an AP2 with K-Pro, when I start the car (cold) the temp gauge will show something like 12bars at first then steadily drop down. Not sure about AEM, but probably nothing to worry about.

Did you bleed the system after you topped it off?

Definitely the first step. Search on here for some write ups on how to bleed the system (if you are unsure).

SO HAPPY to hear someone else with K-Pro is getting the same issue as far as temp gauge starting high for no raeson at start up.. Any resolution? Or do you just close your eyes haha?

It actually doesn't bother me....just figured it's part of K-Pro. I always start he car and let her warm up a bit, temp gauge is reading normal by the time I leave the garage.

My kpro does the same exact thing, I think all of them do it. As far as bleeding the system let the car get warm(feel the top radiator hose and once it gets fairly warm) crack your bleeder on top of the intake manifold where it bolts to the head. Then you should see the air come out. I just crack it a little and let the air run itself out.
