yup.....ya gotta burp the system to get out all the air pockets....if you do this correctly the overheating issue should minimize, if not go away all together. make sure to fill your overflow tank up some before you burp the system....it is likely that it will intake some fluid from the overflow tank to compensate.

my aem series 2 does the same thing. It does not run the stock temp gauge correctely and is very glitchie. I have a serial gauge which reads the waters temps and my car does not over heat.

get a serial gauge or data log it on the laptop. My stock gauge did the same thing when I had the AEM V2 in there as well. Same symptoms you had. checked it with the laptop and everything was fine.

I have an Aem series 2 and i dont any of those issues.

My car was properly bled. That may be your issue.
