CARB statement?
Hello there gurus.
I am looking into supercharging my S2000.
But to get it legal in Norway, where I live, I need some kind of emission statement from the manufacturer of the SC kit.
I have read about the CARB 'approval' that Comptech has.
Does this mean that they state that the car does not emit more then stock?
Or what does it actually mean?
Sorry for a possible daft question, but we dont have that system over here in Europe.
Is this statement something that Comptech can get me? Or does Honda USA have some kind of 'approval' of a supercharged S2000?
Appreciate any replies!

Carb or "California Air Resource Board" is just a cert that says this part is 50 state legal essentially. CA has the most stringent emissions standards. However, still less stringent than most other countries. I would read more about your laws because CARB cert may not be enough for your country...

Yes, I know it might not be enough, but my plan was to try to get some sort of statement from either the authorities in the States, or from the manufacturer.
I will then show this to our DMV equivalent, and get a pre-approval.
I would try not to get myself in a situation that my car has been modified already, and not approved..

There is a website noted for CARB at the top of the page.

I have been lots of places and my personal observation is that "most" other countries have more polluting vehicles as a percentage of the total traffic flow than the US.
I have no doubt the US produces more of many pollutants simply because there are so many more and larger vehicles here. But it seems that passenger car standards are more stringent here than "most" countries.
Have not been able to find a clear summary of standards by county... do you have a link to one?
