Default catch can question

I purchased a universal catch can. I am running it off of the egr valve part of the valve cover "the rear port" I am wondering if I can run from there through the krank vent into the catch can and then just vent the catch can to atmosphere or does it need to be hooked to vacuum?? Thanks.

Idk, I have a cusco catch can, my setup is.
PCV valve-oil catch can-supra pcv valve(basically a krankvent) and than to the manifold factory port. If that is any help.

I would like to put a filter-vent to atmosphere on the side where the vacuum hose is almost pinched off.

What I would do, as you can tell cause thats what I did ha. Is run my setup like I just explained, and than vent the front port of the valve cover that goes to the factory air intake, put a little breather filter on that.

I have the supra pcv inline from the hose coming from the intake manifold to the catch, its about 2 inches off of it. It looks clean to imo.

I dont see why you couldnt run it like that, But how come you want to change your setup? It looks good As it sits. Or you could also run the front port to the catch can, and vent the other side to a breather and run the factory pcv to the manifold with the krankvent in between... it would be bacially the same setup as what your saying, you just wouldnt have to blockoff the port on the manifold.
