Default Certain MAP sensor required for certain ECU's?

I am about to order a 3 or 4 bar MAP sensor to use with my Haltech Platinum Pro ECU and have been wondering if there are specific brand MAP sensors that do or don't work with specific brand ECU's. Do I need to buy an Omni MAP sensor, as I have read in a thread on here about someone being able to use the Omni with the Haltech PP. Can I buy a Hondata or an SOS? Do they all get set up the same way in the Haltech software? I have no experience with the software setup. I just want to make sure that whatever I buy will actually WORK with the Haltech PP.

Also, someone quoted me a Haltech MAP sensor... I didn't realize that Haltech made a MAP sensor for our car? I've never seen one for sale on here before, or mentioned in any build threads, etc.

Thanks for your help.

A map sensor is a map sensor. Gm sensors used to be cheap and plentiful at the u-pull-it yards. This was before other companies started making the ones that bolt in the factory location. Now you can hop on eBay and get a new hondata/omni one for a decent price so hardly see gm ones being used.

I have the hondata 3bar, it's a bit more than it's gm counterpart, but it's less bulky (factory replacement), and takes 3 seconds to install vs the wiring associated w/the gm counterpart and pigtail.

I have used both on different cars, and imo there is no difference, one offers ease of installation and is more astethically pleasing, vs as mentioned wiring & size.
