Default Changes AEM EMS 1012 to 1052

My AEM EMS 1012 has died and I need to purchase a 1052.

Generally the pinouts are the same but I know boost control moves to the D connector. What other differences are there?

the 1052 is smaller and can be located in the stock ecu position.

Umm, ok, I knew that.

I'm thinking more along the lines of things that might make it go pop if I just plug it in and go.

Are you selling your 1012 and WB gauge?

Ummm, sure, however no guarantee.

It's dead. I'll see if AEM will repair and then may sell.

Interested in knowing how much it would cost to fix the EMS.

Even if AEM won't repair it I'd be interested.

Ok, I can conclude that the only physical change required is to change Boost Control from pin A11 to D16.

But now I have another problem. I got the 1052 and updated it to Firmware 1.19 and uploaded my map. Fired up the car and she started first go, but is only firing 3 cylinders.

I checked the coil packs, plugs and injectors and swapping them made no difference.

This sounds surprisingly like the issue I had that caused me to swap the engine but it can't be another cracked ring. The engine ran fine before the EMS died. I wonder if there is software differences in the EMS that mean injector 3 isn't being driven. I know that you use injector drivers #1, #2, #4 and #5.

I'll check it out tomorrow but if anyone has some insight it would be greatly appreciated.
