Default CHEAP TURBO KIT INSTALL! HELP!

Well i found this deal at a local shop and here is what the add says....

For Honda B16, B18, B20. Honda Civic, Prelude, S2000, Acura Integra. SX Turbo kit installed. comes with intercooler, blow out valve, exhust manifold, down pipe, custom intake pipe, and turbo Labor and Turbo Kit Packgage.... Call for details XXXXXXX ask for Angelo PLEASE NO MONEY ORDERS OR OUTaSTATE CASHIERS CHECKS

He said there were only 3 things i needed to buy the kit came with everything else needed. (FMU) Fuel Management Unit, wideband, and boost gauge. He said he could get those 3 things for under 500 bucks. So for all the above he quotes all those cars at $1800 plus the $500. So for 2300 i could have a turbo'd s2k backed by a 3 year/ 30k mile warranty.... just wanted to know what everyone though.

thanks,

It's still missing a bunch of parts that your car could not live without. I would say skip.

You would still need some sort of engine management, fuel pump, injectors, head gasket (over10psi), & a clutch. All of those things plus the additional labor would easily be another $3500.

ya when i spoke with him he didnt say anything about additional things needed other than the 2 gauges and ems. What really was shocking is he said he recomended running at like 15 pounds of boost.... cant our stock engines only hold like 9 MAX? most do 5.5 to be safe im guessing

$1800 wouldnt be bad at all for a turbo, manifold, downpipe and IC system. Then you just take care of engine management and fuel system on your own and you're good to go.

if this is a typo and should read XS, then don't bother. you get what you pay for... it is an ebay kit and will probably fall apart on your drive home.
