Better rad?
Do you mean radiator? The stock radiator on all Hondas will suffice. Boostfed from boostfed.com runs a stock 99-01si radiator on a 700HP civic. Si's are single cores too.

Oil cooler?
Even on tracked/race prepped Hondas there is no need for an oil cooler. Most Hondas that are tracked run with out oil coolers. There isn't a need for those either.

Hondas have great cooling set ups. Now I'm not saying that if you do decide to go that route and get both that it is a bad idea. I'm saying they are not necessary and Honda motors can take the stress and beating to any level. The reason why most motors go are because of poor tunning or improper care. Change liquids and check liquids regularly and you will be ok.

I get more and more irritated at people running VAFCs with their SC's and Turbos. Those are routes you do not want to go if you plan on keeping the longevity of you motor up to par. Get all the things you need first then take the plunge. Fuel pump, injectors, EMS then install. It's just the safest way to do things.

The stock rad has two fans this one has one and allows more clearance around the SC intake. It also cools better than the stock one.
I have oil temp and pressure logging.
On hard runs it gets to 117C
I'm not going oil cooler yet as I don't want to over cool it. I just wnat to bring the peaks down. The OEM base of the oil filter mount has an oil/water heat exhanger, so I'm hoping the rad upgrade and tweaking in the AEM EMS will suffice.

I'm with you on the proper maintenance and the VAFC thing as well!

Thanks Mikey. That's a very good gain over stock.

I'm just wondering if it's best to do it in stages. ie. get the CTSC standard system on, then save to get the injectors, AEM EMS and Mase to tune it. Or wait a little longer, and get it all in one!!!

Decisions, decisions!!

My friend is selling his kit with very little miles and in great condition, he would ship it to the UK as well. It will be much cheaper for you and you could spend that extra money on the add-ons you want

Itchy - do a stock install, snag it all out and then go for the next round once you have got used to it.
