Checklist---what to do
My engine is out. The engine is stock. I want to turbo the engine. I don't
want to go crazy and planning to boost 8-10 psi. My car weigh-in at approx
990lbs.
What do you recommend to do before I install it to my Lotus 7 ?
Do you think I should lower the compression?
Do you think I should change the piston ?
Do you think I should put a metal head gasket
Do you think I should beef my headbolts ?
or DO NOTHING, install & turbo the car?
Pls. tell me your thought.

You might want to change the head gasket, but it's not imperative. Different injectors might be a good idea.
You might get more responses if you put this in the FI section. **EDIT** Nevermind, it's been moved.

Haven't gone FI in my S yet, but with that low of pressure I would say you wouldn't need to do anything. However I would suggest injectors (more air needs more fuel, better to not over work your injectors) and possibly a headgasket (not needed, but I personally prefer to be overly safe)

whats your budget?
engine if its not necessary.
As I said, the car weigh-in at 990lbs, the boost I am planning is between 8-10 psi.
I am not familiar with this engine because I am transplanting this engine to my
Lotus 7.
The 2nd guy said, maybe I need an injectors and perhaps I can get away
without tearing the engine if the boost is only 8-10. I want to make sure this
advice is right. I am looking any help here. I don't know if anyone of you blow
the engine by pushing to 8-10 psi.
you dont need to tear up the engine for 8-10 psi.
surely you are going to need injectors.
because boosting is addictive you are going probably to boost more
so you better take a headgasket.
about blowing the engine IMO its a matter of your tuner. you can blow up the engine with bad tunning even if its n/a
if you have a good tuner you wont have any problems for 8-10 psi with stock internals
surely you are going to need injectors.

How big is your throttle bodies ? 42mm, 48mm, 50mm ??????
Aside for your throttle bodies, is your car turbocharged or supercharged?
I did not see a turbo plenum at the throttle bodies. Not too sure if turbo.
