Default Clutch options for the 4-500ft lbs range

Hi guys,

Im keen to hear your experiences with clutches capable of holding 4-500ft lbs range. I have done a couple of searches and there are many options, but keen to hear your real world experiences...

Im looking for one for a track car.

Cheers!

Depends what kind of tracking like stated, but most likely your going to need a twin disc of some sort

Twin disc should suffice, anything over 700lbft I would go triple

I would think the smoothness of a twin disc would work better for the circuit then a 6 puck.

I have had a triple Tilton before, but killed it in a day (on a heavier car). So I am a bit anti them though I know most have good success.

I like the idea of a single plate clutch if possible, Ill be flat foot shifting... I might check out the ACT 6 puck.

Are we talking about 475 hp or lbft of torque. An s2K making 475lbft would be a 650-750 hp car and I highly doubt the ACT 6 puck clutch will hold that much torque for any type of resonable time. I have a Tilton triple on my Supra and it has been through alot of track time and a few nights at test and tune drag events and have never had an issue.

I've personally ruined an act 6 pucks as well as a competition 6 puck arund 500whp, so I wouldn't suggest either of those
