Clutch set up
So I am about to install my turbo kit into my car and I was talking to inlinepro shop person
Since I saw many set up in the forum going with ACT hd pp with oem disc and bearing
I asked them if that's a good idea and can I do them but their answer was different he said it's not a good choice and he'd rather get a better disc and keep everything else oem
I don't know what to believe now I am pretty sure he knows what he's talking about since he has been dealing with these stuff for long and many times but also at the same time people here has some experience with it you know ?
What do you guy think ?

It depends on how much horsepower (actually torque) you plan on putting out. If you're shooting for crazy figures then yeah, I wouldn't be using the OEM clutch. It also depends on how much driveability/comfort you're willing to sacrifice. If it's a daily driver and you're doing a lot of stop starting then I can guarantee that it's not going to be a whole lot of fun to drive
How about you believe the guys running their cars at 400 whp with the ACT HD PP and OEM clutch disc with no issues? I don't know how much I am making currently, but definitely over 350 whp, and my ACT HD PP and OEM clutch disc performed flawlessly for my last track weekend.
Incorrect.... Have close to 400 on mine for 3 years and 35k miles. Drives like OEM since day 1. No issues. Trust the people on here and trust real world results. Otherwise you may end up with a blown motor and a blown wallet.

If you want more holding power, the Competition clutch Stage 4 sprung 6 puck clutch isn't too bad once you get use to it.
I've had it on for a whole summer already. I've done 1 drag racing event (4 passes, no launch), 1 autocross event, and 1 lapping day already with it, along with a bunch of highway pulls. All in all, probably about 1500 miles on the clutch, maybe more. I didn't really keep track. But i drove it home from the tuner which was a 4 hour drive, plus the drag strip was 2 hours one way, and the track day was 1 hour 1-way.
So i've tested it quite a bit.
At first it was super grabby, and that really caught me off guard, but you get use to it pretty quick.
Only reason i went with this clutch was because i didn't want to spend $2k on a clutch, and needed something to hold my power level.
It works great!!!
