There is nothing wrong with his setup. A puck clutch just plain sucks for a daily driver. It is awful trying to roll out of first gear unless you are really paying attention. It buzzes like crazy and chatters if you do not have the revs right out if first gear. It is also hard on the driveline IMO.
With that said it does hold the power but to me it sacrifices driveability. I drove the car for a thousand miles with this setup and you do start to get used to it, but you can forget letting anyone else drive your car, they will not know how to do it.

Well your one of the lucky ones I guess. I would not consider my ap1 flywheel heavy but its not 8lbs for sure. You can't tell me you can drive this clutch like stock either. You must build the revs up a lot higher and the engagement is harsh. To the OP, you should try driving one before you decide.

With Stage 4 and lightweight flywheel I have yet to hear this buzz or chatter.
If you live in socal come drive my car.
It buzzes to living he'll and stinks to drive.
I alsi have the CC light ( not ultra light) flywheel.
I was in stop and go ( as in move one car and stop) going to a Dodger playoff game and that was all up hill. The clutch was screaming and smoking and I was freaking pissed.. I honestly don't enjoy driving my car solely because of this clutch.
I don't have an extra 2g's laying around but I'm seriously debating on throwing in a SOS twin carbon!
I'm running a Exedy Hyper Single and it's a pain to drive in normal conditions.
What's the story with the SOS Twin Carbon? If it's a combination of good daily driveability and high strength I might be up for one too.

is the act 6 puck any better? im looking for good street ability. but i dont want my wallet to become empty because of it.i kno wim getting an 8lb flywheel. im just looking for the clutch now. but which one is better. and i live in PA so im no were near you. lol. i have driving a dsm with 2600 6puck sprung. and i liked it. but different car so i dont really know.
I have the CC stage 4 6 puck, and while its grabs like a mofo, it is a PITA to drive, traffic sucks with it, and you really have to concentrate leaving every red light lol, i was making 454whp and it held great, bow going with 650whp and lets see what it will do....i want the SOS carbon twin next....
