Cold Air Intake for SOS kit
I decided to quickly mock something up yesterday afternoon. I'm not ready to hack up the car yet, and this was a lot easier and temporary. Plus, it should (hopefully) maximize the duct of the AUT cooling plate. I'll probably finish it by painting it black, use better edging/trim pieces, somehow seal the hole in which the intake tubing goes through the heat shield (perhaps a grommet of some sort?). Maybe apply some heat reflective tape as well
Any thoughts on whether or not this could be beneficial? I'm sure it can't hurt? Sorry about the horrible phone pictures:

Definitely looking forward to Torque Obsessed's next round of tuning/dyno.

@JawKnee, that's a nice setup. My old roommate built something similar on his car, and if I was better at working with my hands I'd have gone that route.
no way to route down and through the wheelwell like a n/a cai? pipe/filter too large?
TO, i see where u picked up 40+ hp with your cai. you ever hit the dragway on friday nights? i'd love to see/here your setup. i'm thinking of going the SOS-SL route instead of other options like pfab stage2. i like the sos simplicity.

The last dyno was with the intake sticking up out of the engine bay. I have not yet dyno'd it with the filter located down underneath the headlight.
Hoping to get to the drag strip soon, but two things are stopping me - my battery is in the trunk without a box & kill switch, and that AFR spike in the midrange makes me think that maybe now is not the time to beat on the car. So I've got to figure out how to move the battery back into the engine bay (I cut the factory wires), and I might get a re-tune before taking it to the track.
