Are you sure it is a whine or is it more of a buzz? Light weight flywheels are known to cause clutch buzz which is normal.

More lilkely then not, thats what we call clutch buzz. Its normal to lightweight flywheels as well as certain kinds of clutches. For the record, my comp. clutch buzzes on deaccel and even stock 00-01 s2ks OEM clutches buzzed.

Perfectly normal I'd say.

I have a stage 3 Competition Clutch and there is a noticeable buzz on decceleration at around 2800-3200 RPM. Not super loud but a buzz nonetheless. I have noticed a slight whine at lower speeds that was not there prior to my turbo install. It is road speed dependent so I'm sure that is also the clutch.

This clutch is still making me look like a total idiot starting in first on slight inclines.

B4 my exhaust wasnt as loud since i was turbo charged, but now i am NA the exhaust is louder, drone worst, and now the buzz. It buzzzzzzZZZZZZ. The clutch work great but its annoying

Engagement is rather quick and can be tricky

I recently got the iron man clutch w/lighter flywheel installed and I feel the same way... I feel like a freakin n00b whenever I'm driving The thing grips so hard and fast, the clutch pedal is softer and the rpms drop so much faster cuz of the FW... It's gonna take some practice for this

After driving the clutch a bit I've pretty much figured out how to make a pretty smooth engagement.

Rev her up to 3-4k rpms and just slip the clutch. I've noticed if you only rev it up to 3k or less it'll buck like crazy and make for a very rough engagement. Remember puck style clutches don't make that horrible smell if you slip them at a high rpm (due to the friction material) so slip it all you want.

With that being said, its not to bad from a dead stop anymore
