I have a clutchmasters stage 4 and it buzzes loud as hell on deceleration, and it also whines at low speeds. The low-speed whining sounds kinda cool imo, but the buzzing can get annoying. And yeah it took me a good week to get used to it. Lucky for me I've spent a good amount of time behind the wheel of my buddy's modded EVO MR, and the clutch he has in that car is a total ballbreaker, so I pretty much already knew what to expect and how to deal with it.

After driving the clutch a bit I've pretty much figured out how to make a pretty smooth engagement.

Rev her up to 3-4k rpms and just slip the clutch. I've noticed if you only rev it up to 3k or less it'll buck like crazy and make for a very rough engagement. Remember puck style clutches don't make that horrible smell if you slip them at a high rpm (due to the friction material) so slip it all you want.

With that being said, its not to bad from a dead stop anymore

I was thinking of raising rpms more when starting off but hadn't gotten a chance to try that. It's just awkward for me to raise rpms so much because I'm used to keeping the rpms really low when I'm driving normally. Used to start off the car at ~2k rpms (give or take a few hundred) so going to 3-4k is gonna feel REALLY weird, lol.

Reminds me of my SPEC stage 2. Glad to know that I'm not alone. It rattles like crazy and is very humbling at stoplights. I thought I had driven a lot of tough clutch cars, but this one really does make you rethink how you drive a clutch. From what I have heard, the only way around the rattle is to use a stock disc with an aftermarket PP. That then invites more thrust bearing wear. Argghh....

Search the forum, I read at least one other post every month where they are still experiencing buzzing. The engineers over at honda issued a TSB for the OEM disc to one with a different spring disc. There are still a large number of documented S2000's that have buzzing with even those OEM discs. I think it's just a hit or miss. I know a big handful of my customers have no buzzing at all with the competition clutch and there's a lot of clutches sold.
