Give them a call, and be professional about the situation, they will help you out.

That is the last thing you would ever here come from my mouth. As Warranty manager over at Comp and an avid car guy myself the worst thing that could happen to me during the work day is for my phone to ring. This means that someone isn't getting what they wanted out of what we provided them. I will work my hardest to help a customer out within my real of warranty (90 days from date). Beyond that I can't make any promises on getting things covered but I will still fight my hardest to help you out the best I can.

offering a warranty on any aftermarket race/modified part is a thumbs up....let alone a DRIVETRAIN part.

something else is wrong here, whether it be the clutch slave not being bled well or to the smallest of things like resting your foot on the clutch pedal when driving...

I know the OP pretty well, hes had many fast cars over the years with very clean well done setups. I personally would say it wasnt a user error, but in the world of drag racing nothing is bulletproof thats for sure.

Thanks for the posts timmay, and the main reason they told me the clutch is out of warrentee is because I purchased the clutch and it sat uninstalled for almost a year so whoever I talked to already said it was automatically out of warrentee even tho I hadn't even ran it in the car.

this has happened to me twice in the past 6months. everytime when launched and 1st time out to the track in the burnout box. the clutch holds power but seems to be very brittle. i make 550 and 350tq with comp stage 4..6puck sprung. . the second u preload your car and or slip it a hair. done. i warrantied the first clutch. got a brand new plate disc and fly and boom. happened again. you cant feather these discs at all at higher rpms in s2k. and due to how instant and harsh the engaugement instinct is to slip rather than blow a diff or trans.. i am a mechanic at a reputable shop..owned many high hp 6 pucks. never had them do this till i owned a comp stg4 in an s2k.... i dunno what to say. if you dont believe me go and make a launch without dumping the clutch at 5500... youll be sorry u did . broken pucks or welded. you can feel it in the pedal adter it breaks or u wont feel anyrhing and weld it together. take it from me.. comp 6 puck.. not a smooth launching puck. DO NOT FEATHER THiS THInG at all in a launch!!!!!!

Hmmmm, I have over 40 passes at the track, from dumping, slipping & preloading and never had any issues. I still have my CDV and never "power shift", not sure if that has anything to do with it
