im going to get the competition stage 5 kit after i get kpro when it comes out. i was wondering if any competition users or any aftermarket clutch users just used the competition clutch throw out and pilot bearing that comes with the kit or if new oem bearings wear used for extra safety? would oem bearings be beneficial?

I see

BTW I am jealous I would trade my car for an 08 BB CR anyday and just leave it as is, I miss revving the sh=t out of this car without worrying about overboosting, MAP sensor, TPS, Boost spike, clutch going, headgasket going, rear end snapping, tires spinning at the worst possible moment, METH not spraying, lean AFRS etc...............

I wouldn't put that clutch on until or during the turbo install. The stage 5 is overkill for anything lessthen 400-450whp which eliminates most SC apps andgreddy turbo apps.

thanks Joey, i went to the dealership looking for a used s2k and didnt even know what a CR was and when i saw the black i was sold. it was either black or yellow.
i will have at least 400 on the kit i want on the stock block until i put better rods and pistons down the road. but to my original question, is everyone just using the bearings that come with the kit or what?

I was under he impression he Competition clutches used OEM bearings... I used the ones that came with the kit (flywheel + clutch are CC), and they looked just like the OEM ones...

what are the negative side effects of running the puck style clutch over the disc. is it just the harshness of engagement or the likely of breaking parts like the diff or axles or what? i plan on having 500+ hp power eventually so i dont wanna skimp out on the clutch from what ive been told the stage 3 wont be able to hold 500+hp
