Default Compressed Air

Ok, so I get the concept of a super/turbo charger and I also understand NO2. Lets focus on the way a super/turbo work. They use put more presure of air into the cylinders so a higher amount of fuel can be burned. This equals more bang per piston cycle. So in theory(mine) if you have a bottle of compressed Air and shot it at 7 PSI into the intake manifold wouldn't that be the same as 7lbs of boost from a super/turbo but sort of work like NO2 since you have a limited supply? I'm no engineer so dont flame me please. The only thing I dont know is if 7lbs from a turbo and 7 lbs from a tank produce diffrent amounts of Pressure per second.

We are not engineers, so we don't know the answer to your question. The volume of air produced by a blower or turbo would most likely be greater than what could come from a tank.

Not enough volume of air can be stored in a tank that will fit inside the car to make it work for more than a few seconds.

Not a practical idea.

The time and money involved in making this work properly and safely for even the slightest bit of time would probably not be worth it.

Turbos and superchargers have already proven to be quite efficient methods of forcing extra air into the motor. Stick with what works

Key is volumetric quantity of air (previously mentioned) and how do you tune for when the pressure is applied and when it is absent.

You would need a 55 gallon drum at 150 PSI to provide about 60 seconds of 6 PSI boost.

EDIT - Sorry calculation was wrong on first post

strap up a leaf blower to your intake manifold.. thats the best idea :/

Leaf blower sounds like a cheap and effective solution...

Should at least add a couple of bhp, so cheaper than non-stock intake/zorst system.
