Default Comptech ACM module

Apart from the standard ECM module by CT, i have never seen this Comptech A.C.M (Advanced Control Module).

1. What exactly does it do?

2. Is it any good?

3. Can it be tuned?

4. I'm basically stock CTSC+AC, 7psi, bolts on, fpr and vafc2, would this be any use to me? - my car is dyno'd tuned and fine with safe AFR.

Cheers

If I'm not mistaken, it's a pre-tuned piggy back that's available on the later/current gen units, which should include a lowered VTEC. I believe the earlier CT units didn't come with a lowered VTEC engagement point.

You probably have already accomplished everything that the ACM does with your tuned VAFC2 I think.

I'd email/call CT-Engineering.

It truly is a small world

Johhny I forget, did you say there was some form of adjustment on you FVM? Or its just pnp/set ...and all fuel correction is done with the usual FPR?

For those of us that dont run that FVM, we get a lean afr sweep or spike at or around vtec cross over. Do you notice this as well still? Wondering if they corrected this with the FVM programming.

The SOS FVM, which I assume is similar to the CT ACM in question, offers no form of adjustment. It is simply plug-n-play, with any desired fuel correct done performed through the RRFPR.

I get no lean spike at the new VTEC engagement of 4500 RPMs. Per my PLX wideband (which is installed in place of the primary o2 sensor at the header collector), I believe I get a quick spike to 12.2/3 around 6200 or so and that's about it.

It should be fairly decent tomorrow, so I will drive the s2000 to work and I will pay close attention to this to confirm the spike tomorrow.

Cool thanks for the info Johnny. I'm going to call SOS tomorrow and find out more specifics of what the FVM does besides lower vtec.

I was going to contact CT also and find out about this box, see if they are the same or not.

Sure, and I liked to know becuase I'm always looking for ways to up my power reliably. If this box offers some timing retard and fuel correction around the lowered vtec area... then It may be just what I need to safely run my next size pulley and ditch the vafc. Would be pretty bad ass to get close to 380-400whp safely on stock injectors

Some information guys:

plug and play tuning system

The ScienceofSpeed Supercharger system includes a robust fuel management system. The system includes the ScienceofSpeed FVM (fuel/VTEC/MAP) Controller which allows electronic control of the fuel injectors to supply the required amount of fuel for the increased power, lowering of the VTEC engagement system for a smooth powerband, and MAP control. Also included in the system is a fuel pressure regulator and fuel pump.
