Comptech Aftercooler Water Temps
I've been curious about the water temps of the aftercooler while on the track. Starting at 70F, after a 20 minute session it hits 95F. This is with a very large cooling area (think of a bumper with a lot of 3" holes - racecar), so it would be much higher without. It was 65F out today.
8psi on AP1 FWIW
Not as bad as I thought it could be, but certainly not great.

I was thinking about this. This may sound silly, but I was thinking that I am going to take a cooler with lots of ice and a couple gallons of distilled water to my next track day. I bought a siphon for $3 from a local parts store and I was thinking that I would siphon the old water (& a bit of water wetter) out of the aftercooler and add the cold stuff just before I head out to the track. That should help in the short term for 20 minute sessions.
In the long term, maybe an aftercooler sprayer using methanol might be a good setup?
Just a thought...

Time for some testing, because those numbers seem too good to be true.
