Default Comptech Ap1 boost question

AP1 with stock comptech kit

Where are you guys starting to gain boost? I'm not sure if i have an issue with my gauge or possibly something else but i'm not seeing any boost until i'm probably in the 7-8k range and even then the most i'm seeing is 4psi (1 time), but most frequently no more than 2psi is the highest i'm seeing on my gauge. Using an aem digital gauge attached to the intake manifold vacuum line btw.

Suggestions?

I do not hit full boost until after 7k but I get atleast 7-8 psi by 5500 rpm. Have you checked to see if your belt is slipping?

If your running stock 5.5psi

Its linear, so at 6k rpm you should be seeing about 2psi, 7 3psi and 8 4psi and just before the redline 5.5psi

I kind of doubt that, it's a brand new gauge and i've never had a problem with an aem gauge before
