No, he won't even make full boost at 6K. He won't make peak boost untill redline. If he wants that kind of flexibility he needs to look into a turbo kit. Although the supercharger will make some amount of boost throughout the rev range there won't really be anything "significant" untill he crosses into VTEC then the limiter quickly ends the fun.

All he can do is switch to a smaller pulley that will net a higher max psi, creating more boost sooner. How much of boost early on I'm not sure, but it will be more than stock.

If he's looking for mid-range punch, your friend will be very disappointed with the Comptech or Vortech kits. I have the Comptech with high-boost pulley and it still feels stock below 6rpm.

The Comptech kit is beutifully made, and the fit and finish are great, except the POS air intake and filter. Unfortunately, the centrifugal blower makes lots of power where the s2000 already has plenty.

For low-mid rpm power, turbo is currently the only game in town. Brperformance.com is working on an Eaton supercharger kit that may be just the ticket, but it's at least a month away.

I doubt the roots-type blower debuts anytime soon.

If you're bent on getting a supercharger, you can manipulate VTEC engagement points via several devices. Using a VAFC-II on mine, we engaged at 4800rpm, but that transition is relatively smooth. AEM EMS will ship next week. By July's end, hopefully we will have 400 rwhp(not by way of sc alone .

Ya, there have been roots type rumors for years. But we're still waiting.
