Default comptech diverter valve

I currently have a comptech s/c i just recently installed the UR FMIC with the HKS SSQV blow-off valve. I was just wondering instead of finding something to plug the hole where the dirverter valve is, can i just leave the vavle in without the vaccuum line hooked up. Just wondering if the valve is closed when there is no vaccum pressure? or is it always open?

That's a good question. I am just finishing up my install and I was wondering what to do about that hole.

You can leave the valve in the hole. That is just an intake side anyway, and would whistle and pull hot air in if left open. Take your valve off and try to suck air into it. If you can suck air, try the other way. Put it back in in the direction that air cannot be sucked in.
Or simply go to home depot and buy a plastic plug that fits into the hole.

I went to the plumbing section and found a PVC end piece for $0.16 that I was able to squish in there just fine. Should do the job.
