Default Comptech intake elbow plug

For those of you that have an aftermarket BOV that's not a Turbosmart Kompact, what do you use to plug up the bypass valve inlet on the intake elbow? I've been using a cheap plastic plug with duct tape.. Looking for a more permanent solution!

How big is the hole? On the SOS kit, I discovered that I could jam something like a plastic cap from a 2-liter Coke bottle into the hole. Then I drilled holes through the side of the cap and the side of the elbow, and ran some zip-ties through to lock it securely in place. Didn't want the blower to ingest it.

There is a perfect 'clean' solution I found at the hardware store. Its a 1" 'expandable' plug just the same as you would use for a temporary freeze plug on an engine block. It’s like a rubber grommet with a steal top and nut on top. You put the plug in and tighten up the nut and it expands inside the hole for a tight fit. I put mine in over a year ago and it’s never come out. Its totally reversable as well. Easy $2 Solution.

I found a pic of exactly what I used here /

I got a rubber cap that goes on the bottom of a chair leg I think from Home Depot and it worked good

Thanks for your input guys! I'll definitely look into that freeze plug since it's readily available!
