Default Comptech Kit oil leak - Im about to give up. HELP!

So the 90 degree elbow that connects the vtec sandwhich mount to the oil feed line for the blower is leaking at the mount right were the elbow screws in. Its dripping onto the header and smoking everwhere. I have taken this thing off three times now and just put a new elbow from CT in with the same oil leak. It feels real tight and as it should but what the hell??? Any help would be great as I have spent at least 10 hours trying to fix this. Also the mount itself is new. Worked fine for about 2 weeks.

I had to replace the AN fitting and the line itself. My AN fitting was stripped from removal and reinstall one too many times, and the line was brittle and had a slow leak.

I'd venture to guess with a new line not solving the problem, the AN fitting is to blame. Is that new as well?

The fitting is new, the line is not. I tied a piece of teflon tape around the fitting so I know its not leaking from the line end as it stayed white. Its got to be the damn mount. Might just save me from a breakdown if I just get a new line, fitting and mount from CT and call it a day.

I'd double check the gasket in mount/vtec solenoid one more time before you spend the $$ replacing it. I'm interested in knowing the cost of replacing the mount because mine is about 5 years old and will likely crack one day..

Gastkets are new ( 3 days ) I thought that was it.
$129 for the mount, $14 for the fitting, 14 per gasket

i tried to order the bracket set (revised with bushings) to replace the original style from ct-engineering a couple of months ago. at first they were just out of stock and just last week they said they will no longer be making brackets for the older kits. they stated that they would be selling upgrade brackets/kits for the older models soon to be updated on their site. changing out the solenoid gaskets and removal/uninstall has been unsuccessful. i just learned to check the oil daily and continuously topping off (maybe a quart a month)...

That sucks, wont work for me becuase mine is dripping onto the manifold smoking a hell of a lot.

Also today I realized that I was wrong and the feed line is leaking at that the flare fitting (elbow). Going to order a new line Monday.

Cross em for me!

You may wish to try Hondabond instead of teh Teflon tape. Remove all tape from female and male threads and clean. Apply light layer Hondabond, install, and let sit for 4+ hours. Reinstall hose to fitting and start engine.

Cheers,

I was going to use teflon paste (pipe dope), same thing?
I dont believe its leaking where the fitting installs on the sandwhich block
Also I thought where the feed line connects to the elbow fitting is a flare fitting so the threads arent what makes the seal. Should I do it there also??

Teflon tape on a AN fitting is a no no, also AN fittings aren't made to be torqued too tightly so you may have jacked it up by going to tight. I'd consider buying a new line. I used these guys and the line is perfect.
