Default Comptech Pulley Install

I searched and checked the FAQ's but didn't find anything. If you can help or point me to a relevant link it would be greatly appreciated.

I'm trying to install a smaller pulley on my Comptech Supercharger. Looking for some instructions, a DIY, or even some helpful pointers. More specifically, how do you get the pulley bolt loose without just spinning the pulley??? Do you take the belt off, then the pulley or break the pulley loose first? The pulley will come off without removing the whole Supercharger right? Hurry! I wanna get this thing running! Thanks for the help.

you need to stop the pulley from moving, while trying to remove the bolt. i can't remember what i did to stop the pulley from moving, but im sure they have a pulley tool, like the one for the crank pulley

Ahhh, pulley tool... that sounds like a good idea, don't think you can get a wrench on the pulley though. I guess I just need a bigger hammer. Keep the ideas coming.

I just unbolted the charger from the car, tilted it up and hit it with an impact wrench. It was done in under two hours.

An impact gun is your friend.

Look at the install instructions and you will see what needs to be done.

I got the bolt off, but the pulley is still stuck. I figured out a trick to the bolt, but I'll wait to post anything until the car actually runs again, just in case I screw something up I don't wanna go passing out bad information. Was the pulley hard to get off after the bolt came off? I can't pry the thing off for anything. It's soaking in a little WD-40 and I'm gonna try it again in a few min. Ugh!

She's off! Thanks for the help. I'll take some pics and write up some instructions assuming I get the car running again

She's running fine. Definitely needs to be retuned, but I'm working on that already. I've got pictures and I'll put up a DIY within the next few days.
