I dont think he has an ESM present. Notice the MAP sensor has a vac line attached to it, and then it runs to the secondary air injection system which it shouldnt do if it is a new install.

(I thought you told me via PM that the installation was done years ago). Correct me if I am wrong.

You can also see a bit of the white check valve used to bleed presure from the MAP sensor, the old mechanical way of hiding boost from it.

ahhhhhhh bigfishS you are right! My install was done back in 01. Son of a bitch! No wonder everyone is like "there isnt a vacume line that runs from your map sensor" grrrrrrr I might have to expidite the persuasion to purchase the AEM EMS. I cannot stand half ass tuning. All my other cars were razor tuned with a wideband and custom p28 chips......damn b-series spoiling me. My car is a wimp right now, I cant go past ~20% throttle without it bogging. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrAAHHHHHH!

If you want to replace the check valve with a boost limiter I have a Split Second VC1 (the one Vortech use with their SC). It's yours for $60 shipped to your door.

 

hmmm sounds like thats what I would need. How does this compare to the comptech ESM? Also, you are in sydney, how long would shipping take to the states?

 

so its fairly obvious that the check valve is failing because I can half throttle it all the way to redline. but once I stand on it, immediately it bogs. So that would be the map seeing boost and flooding the system out right? Any takers? I have to go test the check valve thats coming off the map sensor. It's kinda dirty and i'm not looking forward to blowing through it.

If you buy the ESM from comptech it comes with installation instructions, but its $149, and add an extra $15 for 2 day shipping (ground is $5 but takes a week). The aussies will only cost you $60 and he could probably walk you through the install.

I believe I only have one check valve on my car. I absolutley hate driving it right now. Everything is a threat to me. I had some white RSX-S tail me on the ride to work this morning. I could do nothing!! My roommate is getting a kick out of the crippled S2000. He drives an RSX-S himself. When I get this taken care of, his ass is TOAST!
