Comptech SC/AC kit in future
I have spent countless hours reading the forums on S2KI and they are the best info on the net for the S2000. I have a few questions regarding FI.
1. I plan on buying a Comptech Kit, any recommended vendors in the Southeast US or anyone I should avoid?
2. Do I need to have the car dyno tuned after the install? I have no engine mods and a stock exhaust. If a tune is recommended, I live between Pensacola and Tallahassee Florida, what is the best shop near me to perform such services.
As a side note: I do all maintenance and mods myself with the exception of wheel alignments and I use the local Honda dealer for that just to ensure the folk have a clue what they are doing.
3. The way I read the installation everything I need is included in the Kit. If anyone knows of any additional items I need to address before the install please mention them.
My only mods to date are an Autocross alignment -1.75 camber front, -2.25 rear. R-Compounds on a second set of factory wheels. A Modifry Shift Beeper. A Saner front sway bar. (It really keeps the rear in the rear) Brake Pads and Rotors. I only use Mobil 1 5W30 and change it every 3,000.
I am really looking forward to doing the install myself I just don't want any surprises!.
Oh yea, I also installed a replacement Robbins top with the Glass rear window last spring. I did the job by myself and it took about 16 hours over 3 days. Can't beat the view out the rear with the top up!
