Default Comptech SC Air Filter

So my filter from the SC needs to be cleaned. It is pretty black now. Should i get another filter or another brand? How do i clean the current one?

Are there special sprays to clean it or can water just do it?

If others are using different filters, which one? Does it feel better?

I used the K&N filter cleaner for mine. It worked pretty well.

^ Same here...but after a few cleanings, that damned foam filter just looked like crap over time. Sure, it probably flowed just as great (as when it was new), but I just ended up replacing the filter altogether with an AFE air filter. It was a tight fit, but it's worked pretty good so far.

Here's more info on the AFE: https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showt...0&#entry6414339

Just bought the AFE filter. Thanks for the link.

Getting tired of cleaning the damn foam filter every year, its just getting too nasty. With the price of cleaners, its almost easier to just buy a new one when you need it.
