Christ man, that last tune was ridiculous! Wtf is with those monster dips in torque? I'd be curious to see the timing on that tune

Glad to see you got it all squared away! I would not be mad about spending the money to get the good tune...I would however, be very pissed that the first place screwed me...oh wait that did happen to me...and think I still get a bit pissed off when I think about spending $600 and a couple of hours of my life for something that I just have to get fixed elsewhere.

Good numbers too!

Yep I contacted Alex at Ballade about his tune multiple times. First he blamed it on belt slipping which is BS. My belts dont slip at all. Yesterday he blamed it on the fact that I live at a higher elevation than where the car was tuned. I contacted Mike at Autowave about that and he said thats just non sense. I dont live at a high elevation. I asked for my money back and he just ignored me and never got back to me.

I doubt you will see your money again but on the bright side your new graph looks sexy and you are putting a lot more power to the ground. If I were you I would make sure no one uses a useless tuner like the first guy I hope you enjoy your car and keep us up to date on it

Good to know. I was contemplating going down this path with your setup. Now I know. BTW, I been up to Santa Clarita many times before for my work. It's not THAT much more of an elevation.

Perhaps try negotiating other means of compensation since you have proof that it was a bad tune. Don't sweat it, I've read stories about blown motor due to legitimate mistakes at shops; dude didn't even bother with any claims except never use them again.

Have fun, I wanna check out your S!

I think this thread is going to do what it needs to do...it is a shame that a business does not recognize that its customers are what keeps them making money...sometimes you need to face the fact that you screwed up and give some of that money back. I would think that any one who reads this will steer clear of that particular tuner...I know I would.

Starman I completely agree. A lot of my friends have gone to Ballade and use them frequently. They all say good things about Alex. Maybe I'm the outlier but my experience was not that good. Every shop is going to have some bad experiences over time so I'm not telling people to not go to Ballade. I'm not going to flame him or his shop im just gonna chose to not deal with him anymore and give him my business even though there a few parts I'd like to get from him. From a morality standpoint he should have refunded me at least some of the tune. He obviously thinks I'm a rookie by giving such outlandish excuses. To me, that's terrible business ethics. I spent a lot of money at his shop recently and out of decency he should have done something for me. O well, you live and learn and I'm over it

I can till smell some gas in my oil. Not as strong as before I don't think. Do you guys think it's just some residual oil left over from before?

Could be, I know after I changed mine it was gone though. You may want to do another change just to make sure you get as most of it out as possible.
