I found two oil/filter changes necessary to remove the gas contaminated oil to the point of no smell.

Yeh I just did another oil change. I dumped the old oil, ran 4 quarts of new oil straight into the motor and out the drain to carry out any of the contaminants, and then refilled. Hopefully I'll be good now
