Except that if you use a balance beam weigh scale and put the Vortech owner's wallet on one side and the "next gen" Comptech owner's wallet on the other AFTER the purchase, which one do you suppose will settle LOWER?

First... Not a fan of either....

Second as for price both kits are selling for less, I just posted MSRP, cause depending on GB or special deals or whatever isnt fair in my opinion...

Third... I take your a Vortech fan...

Fourth... Heres what I would like to see

2 Cars, Same years... Both Dynod same day same machine. One with Vortech one with Comptech... BOTH aftercooled and both bone stock except for SC...

Also the vortech kit is producing 7 psi not 8 psi.

To quote another owner, well I don't need to my dyno sheet is pictured above.

You have verifiable proof of 295+ to the wheels. Plus I paid $3850 - $100 rebate = $3750

I think it's pretty clear the Vortech is the better buy. Street price is cheaper, SC is quieter, electronics are more comprehensive and of course, the aftercooler. Performance wise there is 9/10ths of bugger all difference.

The things in favour of the Comptech are it's history (but as time passes the Vortech is also maturing), the reputation of the company that makes it and easier install (specifically the oil return). Also, some people bought theirs through Honda dealers and maintained warranty so that's a big plus.

Now, just to put things in perspective, I just got myself a second hand Comptech SC. I guess I can thank Vortech for pushing the price down to a level I could justify. Thanks!

DC Sports Header, JIC single outlet exhaust and I tuned the SC with a VAFC.

Prior to the VAFC tuning 1st run was 294.7 hp. I was able to change the torque curve from 5200 all the way through to redline. That was the most significant gain, besides getting the air fuel in a safe zone. The vortech FMU was running to lean on my car.

Header and exhaust ... That alone could have added any where from 7 to 20 Hp...

No offense.. But unless i could see A comptech to compare with dc header and JIC Exhaust installed... Then your #s dont mean any thing..

When Nobody dynoed his car it was with nothin but flywheel and lightweight pulleys.. Although they could have added ever so slighty to the numbers I doubt it was more that 4 or 5 Hp..
