SC-Suzuka.... The Vortech 3 year warranty is what looks like on the unit only. 1 year on computer module, forcepower parts: fuel pump, mounting brackets, pulleys, oil feed and drain parts, and powercooler. That is the best I can gather on the warranty sheet.

I want to buy a Comptech SC but where can I find the best deal? Are there any used one floating around on the board?

I don't know anything about the BOV that the Vortech unit uses. The Tial is really a nice unit and it is loud (especially since it is right under the mesh in my Amuse style CF hood ).

There is a video of my car on the dyno here: http://www.kpj.com/S2000/YellowStreakDyno.rm

You can here the BOV at the end of the run. I paid around $270 for mine.

I've got a quick question, maybe someone can give me a quick answer. EVERYONE is scared of running boost on this 11:1 car, and rightfully so! But i have yet to hear of anyone bothering to pull the head and throw in a copper headgasket or something like that to lower compression a half point or so. If I was going to install a SC, I promise you, I would go ahead and do that, even if not "required". I realize some people have gotten 50,000+ miles out of a comptech s/c car, but I would just feel better running our 93 octane on 10.5 compression

after all the reading and changing of my mind from vortech to comptech this past month, i am also going to go with the comptech system. i will order mine a little after i pay my parents back for the rims i just bought. with school and k mart cutting my hours because there budget, that won't be until i think end of july and some more convincing of my mom. my dad is already all psyched up about doing this and talks about it almost every day. i will so get my mom to turn over because i was not allowed to do anything to my car in the first place but now look at it. the parts list is growing

Business hype - hahaha. I paid dearly for all the competch mods... to the tune of straight MSRP for the SC/header/flywheel (thru the parts dept at the dealership; they installed it, they're warrantying it). I couldn't even talk Mike B. into a discount on a strut tower brace to replace the used Comptech one I had that wouldn't fit with the supercharger!

Reliable is probably the wrong word - "measurable" - no hype, straight facts. You know, the opposite of what we've got now (all hype and no facts!).

I'd think that 340hp with the supercharger would be easier on the car than the same power with a turbo; less torque and more linear power delivery (slower, too - no doubt).
