Thumbs up Comptech, Toda, or J's

I need a header to compliment my T1R Power 70. I know the Toda is probably the best in terms of overall gains, but what about the Comptech or new J's? The Toda and J's are a 4-2-1 design while the Comptech is 4-1 which kind of interests me. Do any of you guys have first hand experience? What are your suggestions?

Get one of each.

The other one I have been considering along with the ones you are looking at is the Rick's.

When I was choosing a header almost 2 years back,we had Mugen that improves shit,Comptech that is next to DC Sports the weakest,Toda cracked as reported my more users and Spoon (witch I ended up buying).Today,I would buy J's if I had a SC. You have a very nice and clever set-up, do your self a favour and get the header with the Biggest inner diameter ....get J's
Or have a look at my signature and PM me if you wanna safe your self some $

Back when Spugen was protoyping headers, They found that the Comptech flowed best - I don't know what they compared but I am pushing over 400 RWHP with my comptech header/SC setup so I am comfortable suggesting that as a good option but, I agree with Jakub - find one that flows the best.

I don't want to talk trash, but it's not only about flow. That would be way to simple (increased diameter=more flow). It's also about how the gas pulses trough the runners, how the collector is designed ect. Not trying to bring Comptech down, but go to the ''Post your dyno and mods'' thread and you will find people with craaazy numbers running even a DC Sports header.Imagine they run a real performance header...

It's no mystery that with FI larger exhaust piping will net bigger gains. The J's Racing Header has great quality and the largest pipe size as fore mentioned. For the most power, I'd get the J's.

The Comptech in theory should work best with boost due to it's 4 into 1 design. I'm happy with my Toda.

I know of one other person with a similar setup to mine who will dyno with the T1R Power 70 and new J's. The problem is he will have some headwork done as well so it will be difficult if not impossible to determine how much of a gain from just the header. I'm leaning towards the Toda only because it's proven. The only caveat is the bracket and the fact it has the least clearance to the ground

In theory a 4-1 would provide the best flow, then again a larger diameter 4-2-1 might be similar. I would imagine there would be a distinctive difference in the power/tq curve between the two.
