Default Comptech VS Vortech

Hi I'm new to the forums and I'm sure this topic has already been brought up, but i recently purchased an 04 s2000 and im looking into supercharging it to get that extra kick. I was wondering what the experts thought, which out of the two superchargers, comptech or vortech, has the overall best performance, which one puts out better numbers, reliability, intallation difficulty. Thanks for the help.

Overall performance goes to the Vortech. Ease of installation goes to the Comptech. Actually the installation of the Vortech is not difficult. I did mine without assistance.

i think comptech is more reliable and also i got 324whp on a mustang dyno where they also dynoed 3 other s2000 votech an they pulled 289,305 and 315 im shore there both good but im comptech al the way they just dynoed my frend comptech s2000 and it got 318whp so i think comptech with aftercooler is the way to go

im with you -- i just feel that comptech spent alot more time (R&D) with their SC...

im using Comptech SC with AC - 7lbs with 93octane - 331whp with 201lbs torque

Vortech for sure!!The comptech system has to be tinkered with (7psi pulley) to be competitive with the vortech unit. Also dont forget about the timing box that the vortech has.The comptech unit relies ONLY on the knock sensor, and has no means of retarding timing for boost.
