Default Comptech vs. Vortech

Hey guys I've been lurking here for a while, finally registered. I searched but couldnt find exactly what I was looking for in answers. I have a question. Which supercharger is more mod friendly? In other words, which has the most potential from bolt on mods(pulleys, EMS, injectors, head work?) Which unit has the most hp potential? I've heard about sending the vortech unit back to them to be modified, but I was wondering what the capabilites of each unit are out of the box from bolt on mods. What whp would I be looking at? 350whp(ish)

I've modified my F20C similar to what you wrote. Headwork, Vortech S trim, 750s, AEM EMS, headers, TB, and pulleys resulted in 442 to 467 rwhp depending on the tune.

The Vortech has the potential to pump more air.

What whp would you be looking at without converting the vortech to S trim?

The V2 SQ has plenty of CFM in reserve. No need for a S or a T trim.

It is the S trim that is supplied with the Vortech Kit. The T trim is an additional cost.

Mine is a V2 SQ SC Trim , not a V1 T Trim or a V1 S Trim If by "additional cost" meaning you can buy another,

http://www.vortechsuperchargers.com/produc...s/appguide.html

V2 SQ SC Trim is the standard SC unit with both AP1 and AP2 kits.

from the comptech side..the comptech in theory flows 94% cfm of the vortech (this is based on there web sites) neither of the sites actually say flow at a given rpm they only say the maximum flow. Granted i don't know how much of a difference that would make.

my comptech is at 365 hp with only bolt-ons no engine mods..

i would imagine a vortech would get at least that i would be intrested to hear though.
If there are any guys running the vortech with no internal mods dynoed on a chassis dyno ide it would be intresting to see the difference.
