Default Considering oil cooler kit $500.

We are in the process of making a custom oilcooler kit for a boosted S2000 owner in our area. I know of only a couple kits for this already on the market and they seem really nice but I always thought it was too much money to justify the benefits.

I thought this could be a niche to fill with the s2000 market. What do you think.

We think we could reproduce the kit and set retail around $500. The kit will come with everything you need and will locate the exchanger around the front of the front passenger (USDM Left hand drive model) wheel well. It will also maintain factory oil filter location.

Please post any thing you would appreciate to see this come with or as an option. Sorry no just yet!!

Keep in mind when designing fitment for this kit, that some of us track our cars and use the brake ducts for the brake cooling, so Greddy oil coolers dont work out of the box. Then you have the added heat exchangers or FMIC's we use. If you can design a well fitting placement and functional oil cooler with this in mind, I think it could be a hit.

^^I agree. make it track and forced induction friendly/functional. A thermostat is a good idea too.

may want to also consider putting this in the racing and competition section as well for added interest.

Maybe re-price it to something more reasonable considering the smaller size oil cooler that can be fitted in that area. For $500 I can buy a large Setrab oil cooler + Mocal thermostat for almost two cars.

Agreed. There is going to need to be some pretty slick fitment and bracketry to justify the cost.

I think the most effecient oil cooler that "works" is the water type and they are compact.
