Coolant temp range with turbo?
I have a coolant fed turbo on my Inline Pro kit and am wondering - what is a safe coolant range to run in?
Driving mellow w/no boost and outside temps of 50

That seems a bit high. My coolant temp driving the same way as explained tends to stay in the high 180's low 190's.
Have you noticed at what temp your fan is coming on?
Are you running any type of ems?

that sounds about right. Your thermostat is designed to open around there as well. The whole idea of the thermostat and fan switch is to regulate temperature even when the system isn't put to the max. If you took out the thermostat and just ran an open system, you would find in the cold weather that the temps were never warm enough to hit three bars. This might also have an issue with coldstart enrichment depending on if you are using AEM or stock ECU. Unless you were going WOT for a few minutes, or possibly were on the highway on constant throttle your cooling system is never getting pushed to its maximum thermal load! I'm sure you'll find that when it gets warmer, the temps may rise 5-10 degress, but not much more than that. Probably in stop and go traffic, If you have a modifry, you'll hit 4 bars, and the fan switch will turn on (i think it comes on at 212). You could buy a lower temp fan switch and thermostat and it might lower the medium temperature in the winter, but in the summer it will still be around 200. Now if it goes past 220, then you might have an issue!

You are still within the safe operating temps so don't worry to much. Check to see what temp the fan is kicking on at, I could have sworn mine comes on in the low mid 190's but not sure. Haven't driven my car in while.

Make sure you have the right calibration table setup in your EMS for the coolant temp. I'm not sure if AEM has changed it yet in newer units but they were slightly off. Try searching, its posted up somewhere in the forum here or on the aempower forums.
You can control the fans with the ems, no need for an aftermarket fan switch.

The AEM EMS was reading temperatures 10+F higher then what they really were.
