Is there a specific tool i will need to swap this? Or can i just use a breaker bar and a pole? Thanks

Crank pulley removal tool. It holds the pulley while the nut turns. It takes lots of torque to break that sucker loose. Good luck.

 

go to your local auto store, some places I believe they have free rentals.. and yes, the longer the breaker bar the better, that thing is welded on there it feels. lol

 

You can Borrow from someone or get one from Honda.

It's best to have another person to hold on one (Approx. 5ft bar You can buy from Homedepot) and help you to break loose the crank pulley nut.

And like everyone said, it is on there extremely tight. I would make sure you have a nice solid breaker bar, that thing will bend quite a bit and then all of a sudden, it will break free. Just remember, if you could, do not use air tools on it.

 

Cool. i have a crankpulley removal tool. it looks similar to the link above. I just dont know if it fits the S2000 pulley. I will check...Thanks for all the help

 

Also, before you start... Make sure to put a bunch of towels on the passenger fender so you don't risk any damage when it breaks free.

It can be a b**ch to get off. Also I got my removal tool from amazon for about $30

 

or if you gotta upgrade your clutch or take ur tranny out I just had another buddy use a big pry bar to hold the flywheel in place and got it loose that way. But be better off w/ a tool lol.
