Default Crankcase breathers etc, need help

Ok, heres the score I'm due to install a CTSC with AC running 7PSI on an AP1 with singlepipe exhaust+testpipe, bigger TB and tracysports manifold.

Now, im getting confused (after all the reading I'm getting brain drain)...

I read boost into the crankcase is bad, now I'm not running lots of boost (7psi), but what would be a good solution just a mini 'k&n' filter on the crankcase breather that attaches back onto the intake pipe or something else???

krankvents, oil catch can

I want the most reliable setup for my engine, would these help with realiabilty or performance?

Any pics?

Thanks in advance.

I've seen many ways but the most popular is probably just going all out with the catch can deal. I've also seen the small mini breather on the vent on top of the valve cover! It's not throwing oil out is it?

Hi thanks,

I havent installed the SC yet, i will do in a few days, no problems at the moment on N/A.

I too have seen several ways (as you mention) which is why im banging my head .

I plan to do the whole install you see, including fitting/not fitting a crankbreather or whatever .

Personally I hate the fumes that vents create, plus i think oil fumes are highly toxic long term!

I got a catch can and doesnt seem to wiffy, though it did fill up with condensed water/fuel/oil after 600miles when i had the vent pipe in the wrong place!

so whats wrong with running the small filter instead of the whole catch can setup? Will oil spray everywhere?

Rather than worrying about a possible problem in the future just wait and see. I didn't have a problem until I hit 13 psi boost. Just be aware of it.

Changing the pcv valve to the boosted supra unit is the cheapest way to deal with this.

Only blows oil out when you have blow by from a blown engine. Happened twice to me haha. Actually it's sad.

Thanks Sideways, so I just change the stock pcv to a supra one and call it a day?
