wow, you're lucky. Might want to try and find those bits of retainers that broke off as well!

I bought an AWESOME valve spring compressor tool, best I've used to date. I'll have to find the link and post it up. It was ~70+ bucks, but WORTH every penny.

Honda have a service tool that bolts in place of the rocker assembly and has a huge crank/lever that pushes down on the retainers.

One of the K series tuning houses had a similar one in their product range.

You may be able to beg/borrow one from a Honda service department. I find some of the guys can be pretty helpful if you take the tool at the end of the day, and have it there first thing the next day with a case of premium beer.

I know the guys at my local Honda dealership very very well, I've been going there for about 8yrs now. I know just about all the mechanics and service department people by first name basis.

I might just get it towed there (as its only 1km away from the workshop currently doing the work) and let them do it for me - I hadn't even thought of that idea, thanks Chris.

Just found out upon removal of the rocker, the damn thing has no roller rocker followers in it.... WTF?! Who builds a motor and doesn't put the ****** "lifters" in?

Ahhhh, I think I've got you. Are you referring to the 'Lost Motion Assembly'.
